In Sweden for Easter Holiday

Back in Sweden for third day now. Feels like I've never left. Well most of it is still the same. The first thing I noticed is that new roads have been built since my SatNav got confused. Nice, wide and shiny roads with double lanes in each direction =)
Went to the routinely car inspection today. As expected my car passed. Tomorrow is the routinely service in Köping. While my car is getting served I will as well - will have my hair cut tomorrow. Well more like a trim than cut. The big challenge is to walk between the garage and town center after I've left my car there.
Some recent pics.
Went for a walk on that beautiful saturday morning.

And finish off the walk with some yummy cakes

Sunday walk

After a long period of absent, it came out strong this sunday.
It's necessary to catch it, before it goes away.
Sunshine, blue sky
and people walking outside.
Out we went, for a little stray.

Appreciation is the key

So happy to feel needed. I was home, sick today. It was tough getting out of bed. Felt too much pain to move. Talking to my boss who wanted to make sure that i'm going to be back at work on monday. Then, when I started feeling a bit abandonded, another manager called and he too wanted to make sure that i'll be at work on monday.
I guess this is the way work response to my affection as a work-o-holic. Who dares to say work doesn't love you back?

Today's dinner

Felt a bit inspired yesterday when I went groccery shopping. It tasted more yummy than it look and there's nothing wrong with the look. =)
Been in bed most of the day today so I guess I'll be up until dawn.

The Shoe Lace

When I was about to step through the front port today it felt like my right shoe lace was a bit loose. As I was about to bend down to check I got a second thought:

1. What if I'm wrong and the shoe lace wasn't loose? Then I'd waste my time stoping up to check.
2. What if I'm right and the shoe lace was loose. I'm a few staircases away from my door where I'll untie the laces and get rid of the shoes.

Right, so now the dilema is: Does it matter to walk the few staircases with a loose shoe lace on one foot? I should correct the question - Does it matter to walk the few staircases with a possibly loose shoe lace on one foot?

Would I loose more time to stop, bend down and check just to confirm that it was loose and do nothing about it. Or alternatively re-tie the shoe lace just to untie it again after a couple of minutes when I've entered my appartment?

So what did I do?
One thing you can be sure about is that I didn't stay at the front port and wavering. That's just so not me. =)

Off with the head!

I believe in 3 silly things before weekends:
1. Drunk people are quite fun.
2. If you think you own the dance floor, you will own the dance floor.
3. Sunday is a sleeping day.

Wouldn't it be great to be in Wonderland?

Third day - intensive workshop

... and quite interesting. Didn't manage to do much networking as I planned to.

1. I have never seen or been in contact with (email, phone ect) any of the 60+ participants.
2. I represent half of the female/non-manager participants.

The workshop was successful because almost all discussions were relevant to what I'm working with. The 2 case studies I chose add something new to my knowledge base. I now know more about the global organisation.

I rewarded myself with a delicious thai meal. Last time I had such a tasty thai meal was at the thai restaurant in Stockholm, Odenplan.
In the Beer country one just have to order Beer to accompany the meal. Since I'm going all asian, asian Beers is a must. Yesterday I had sushi and yakisoba. Today I had hot thai beef. My choice of Beer would then be:

Although I don't drink beers, I absolutly love asian Beers.

Second day

Today I went to see production of this:

Which supose to sit in one of this:

And when that's done I went for a good meal.
Wow-effect of the day - a pint of beer is awfully alot!
I can understand why the british love to hang out in bars and pubs. With prices lower than the norwegian supermarket price who needs to drink at home?

Day 1 at the headquarter

So here I am in the polite people's country. Been travelling for half a day and despite having taken 3 times my ordinary coffee dose, I feel quite dead.
Flight was good, spacey coz I'm the only person sitting on that row. Had a nice meal while watching sunset above the clouds - it was as pink it could be. Pink background and fluffy white cotton!
After arriving to hotel I met a rude black girl behind front desk. Her attitude changed when I told her my company booked me in. Talking about treating people differently.
Going through what british telly could offer. OMG! Why do you have so many channels? All english speaking! Too bad I'm not staying until thursday evening. It'd been so nice to catch an episode of Bell.
