Shopping

Yesterday I was looking for a pair of ski trousers as my current ones didn't survive the laundry. Instead I ended up with these warm and waterproof boots!

Living in the wettest place in the world, one has come to appreciate the waterproof feature.
So what about my ski trousers then? Well I spent several hours on Gmarket and found a pair in pink and some more things to but in the basket of course (-_^)

The excitement of Stockholm underground railroad

I recently stumbled on a real life TV show call ‘Tunnelbanan’. Tunnelbanan is the underground/metro/subway in Stockholm. The show’s concept is to follow the security guards there in their daily job.
Unlike the other subway systems around the world, the Swedish one is known for constant late and cancelled trains using various excuses. On top of this the ticket price is high and the ticket system is not waterproof. Therefore the amount of ticket cheater is huge and quite accepted in general, well not by those who run the subway of course.
With the Swedish citizens not so keen on killing each other (except in a town call Malmö) there’s actually nothing exciting going on in this TV show that has adopted the American TV style of story telling.
So what do we actually get to see in ‘Tunnelbanan’?
1.     Guards waking up and chasing drunk people out of the subway.
2.     Guards taking drunk people in custody and then hand them over to the police.
3.     Guards waking up utterly tired people waiting for train and chase them out the subway.
Running through the 4 episodes I could confirm my theory that this kind of (security guard & police) job attracts only 2 groups of people. 1. The non-educated and arrogant and 2. The one that’s not able to find other job in our society.
So why am I watching this? Yes that’s how bored I am at the moment.

A scary thought indeed

When I was in high school, my teacher revealed her fear for me. She said 'Whenever I'm standing next to a lake or a river I would hold on to my keys very hard and tell myself not to throw them in the water'.
That was pre-facebook time.

A touch of luxury

Today our cantine at work started selling cup cakes. What's basic for most people is a luxury out here.

The typical Norwegian lunch is a simple sandwich. You can find all kinds of neutral tasting sandwiches at the counter and the food selection is very healthy. One of the healthy reason is that you will stop eating as soon as you're outside the hunger zone because there's no point or joy in continue consuming the food.

Today is a bit different, today there's cup cake.

The mind is hungry

I've been on the move quite a lot lately so haven't had the chance to devour any dramas or movies. To feed my hungry mind, I've found the following menu.

Something old - 鹿鼎記 - My all time favorite HKdrama series.
There are several version out there but the one that brought back memories is the orginal one with Tony Leung and Andy Lau. I'm so happy to find it again. Hurray for the digital database AKA internet.

Something new - 너는 펫 / You're My Pet
I am addicted to anything with Jang Geun-Suk in it and I'm not alone. Eversince he appeared in You're Beautiful drama, the whole world just can't get enough of Jang Geun-Suk.

Something I've wanted to watch for a while - 동안미녀 /Baby Face Beauty
Unfortunately the subbing group WithS2 has made their subtitles for this exclusive to the paying VIA group. Now I've found the complete series with complete subs MUUUHAHAHA
