It's not that I don't know that it's gonna happen, it's just I don't know when. And the when just happened.
It's really about probability, at some point the probability would be high for certain incidents to occur.
So what do I do about it?
First of all there are lessons learned to note down and remember.
The next thing is to build in precautions or fool-proofing. Yes I just admit I'm a fool.
Last thing to take care of is damage control and re-establishing normal condition. Of course there's a cost linked to this and should be taken from the contingency fund which hopefully, is not equal to my bank account.
You say 'tought luck', I say 'contingency'
It's Spring in the air!
It's warm, it's sunny and the sky is blue! What have I done for the first half of such a beautiful day? You're right, I slept haha. As I needed some few grocery items I got up, got dressed and got out.
This is a good occasion to try out the dress/jacket I got from New Look a couple of months ago.
I might as well try a new Iphone case since I'm getting a bit bored of my pink one.
Totoro, one of my favorite charactor from Ghibli Studios anime. Got it at Gmarket. Thought that it'll be a hard shell but it's a bit soft so it's actually easier to put on and remove. I like that!
Ok! Time to do some Spring cleaning!
Got it right this time!
The training wear I order in my first haul was disaster. I mean nothing wrong with it, just I managed to order the wrong set and the color (white) doesn't really suit me.
This time I got the order right, the quality feels good and it actually looks better than what I expected. The size fits me perfect as well.
Next thing is to find an aerobics venue. It even match with the shoes I got last time wiiiihoooo!
This week in collage
I'm actually quite lazy when it comes to taking pictures. The week started with skiing. Wasn't the best snow condition and I fell once, badly. On the good side, it was sunny that day.
Then off to UK after a horrible night. I don't think I like this house anymore.
Sunny UK is definitely better than rainy Bergen and I do love the shopping and food choices.
Gmarket haul #2
After receiving the first haul successfully I can't help placing the second order. This time more items than the last but it only cost me a couple hundread NOK more, how come? I guess the secret lies in shipping cost. The more you buy the lower shipping cost per item it'll be.
Even though I expected a bigger box than the last one, the box size exceeded my expectations. The black is my laptop bag so you can get a feel of the size.
Ah well, let's bring it all out.
The two box on the left is my shoes. The bubble wrap stuff is from Etudehouse. Ok let's do the unwrapping. Feels just like Christmas ^^
1. First out is jeans? I didn't order any jeans. No it's my training wear. I'll post picture of me wearing it another time when I'll do exercises.
2. This one warm my heart a bit. They actually add in a handwritten message to me - in Korean so I have no idea what the message is about, I could guess it's a thankyou of some kind. Also Hello Kitty candies as freebies. Just lovely.
What I bought? It's a rouge/blusher brush.
3. By the look of the box I think you can guess what's inside. The freebie I got was stockings, alway needed.
4. One of the hightlight of this haul - BB cream from Skin79. I'll do a review on this when I've used it long enough. I chose this one after reading a lot of reviews on BB cream so let's hope it won't make me dissapointed. No freebies comes with this one.
5. Facemasks! And loads of them. Made in Korea so it shouldn't be too bad. I haven't tried them out yet. I bought 5 different 'flavors'. Ginseng, Q10, Aroma, Aloe and Collagen.
6. Etudehouse stuff. I got haircolor, highlighter and eye shadow for myself. The unwrap thing on the left is my mom's BB cream. The cup and the paper thing is freebies. I'm a bit dissapointed actually. I've red alot good stuffs about freebies from Etudehouse and this doesn't live up to my expectations at all.
7. Another main item of this haul - rainboots! Living in Bergen, having waterproof boots is a must. No more wet feets.
The typical japanese feet pose hahaha. Well it was suited to show the flower details on the side anyway.
8. These are the boots you saw me wearing in the last post. They are quite ok and very suitable to wear to skinny jeans.
9. Lastly - my wall decos. Don't know when I'll paste them on the wall. After the incident last Saturday, I have got second thought about staying here.
That's all for this haul. No wait a minute, one item is missing. It's something for my brother but I don't think he wants me to reveal what I got for him hahaha.
Sneak peak
Gosh! I've been so busy these past few days that I didn't even have time to breath. I've been travelling again and my Gmarket stuff has arrived!
This is one of the rare occasions I do outfit picture. This is how I looked like today.
- Jeans from my last Gmarket haul
- Shoes I got today from Gmarket
- Top from Forever21
I'll soon put together a report on my Gmarket haul #2.
Some Bergen facts
Been living here for a little bit over three months, I kind of feel ashamed that I haven't written anything specific about the town I moved into. I guess all the 'exitement' about Norway ran out after Ålesund.
First of all I don't live in the town center but more in the peripheral part of Bergen. The big reason is the cost.
2. Bergen is against car owners. Toll barriers are placed when you going in and out of town center. Imagine myself driving to work and back everyday, it'll dig a whole in my wallet!
Furthermore, it cost to drive with spiky tires and the limit availability of parking spot just make the town center a less attractive place to live.
What's on the plus side is the range of flight routes. Comparing to Ålesund, more citys are available via Flesland than Vigra. It's also more choices when it comes to asian food markets and restaurants. I found a Vietnamese restaurant with quite reasonable prices (for Norway).
Also there's a wider choices when it comes to nightlife, and cheaper alcohol alternatives than Ålesund.
The 'nearby' ski resort here, Voss is more accessible and bigger than Stranda.
